What is Heated Cleaning?

A new generation of carpet washers are now available that utilise heated cleaning technology, but exactly how does it work?

When washing carpets, a mix of water and solution is applied to the surface to enable the brushbar/brushes to agitate carpet fibres, lifting dirt and stains. Some carpet washers use cold water in this process.

Vax heated cleaners use technology where heat is directed onto the carpet using warm air from the motor. This warm air helps carpets to dry more quickly. Warm water (max 50ºC) can also be used with these units. This works in conjunction with the warm air from the motor, and cleaning solution, to break down grease, dirt and grime more effectively.

Questions to ask yourself before buying a carpet washer:

• Do you have children and/or pets?

Units that use heated cleaning are ideal for busy homes as they dry carpets more quickly after washing, meaning you can get on with your life.

• Do you often struggle to remove stains or keep high traffic areas clean?

The warm air from the motor and cleaning solution work together to break down embedded grease, grime and dirt, leaving carpets looking clean and renewed, and smelling fresh too.
